When this happens, it is almost impossible to get back on track, thus why it is necessary to avoid any forms of mishaps that could lead to your site being flagged as spam or even completely banned from search results, which means it will not be showing when searched for by potential customers.

  1. Hiding keywords is not an option: there are different ways, in which you could find yourself hiding keywords, and this could be in form of coloring them the same way as the official page, somewhere in the footer in a very small font since with time, the Search Engines will locate it.
  2. Avoid purchasing links: this has been a very common trend in the current times, since according to SEO, ranking can be attained that way, however, you should be wary that those sites you purchase links from may have already been flagged as spam hence removed from the Search Engine results completely.
  3. Publishing of links carrying false content: it is always good to publish factual content that will benefit the reader, in one way or another. Evidently, it appears that SEO in the past has all been about keyword density and all that but today, Google team and other Search Engines team members are vigilant on those sites with false content to ensure they don’t rank.
  4. Plagiarism: the copying of another person’s content is not an option if you want to rank, you have to come up with your own original content or the Search Engine will be able to track the actual source and flag yours as copied.
  5. Too many keywords: note that the more the keywords doesn’t mean that your content will be found easily, these days, Search Engines are tracking contents with keywords stuffing and marking them as suspicious.
  6. Exchanging of links: to build your public relations CV doesn’t mean that you have to exchange links, although the mentioned rarely works thus may be a waste of valuable time, you could exchange links with relevant websites.
  7. Avoid flash based websites: although they are nice, it has been substantiated that most of Search Engines tend to ignore such pages.
